The night fell over me, again.

To walk alone in the shadows,
seems my only pass time,
since the gem of my treasures
went away with the tide.

Hope along with the sunrise,
its gleam shall one day come back,
since the darkness of my present
lacks the luster of it presence.

I think I see in the midst,
of the fog through the melancholic,
glowing beam of a streetlight
the warm presence of her eyes.

It is always the mirage,
the crazy allure of a dream
there are more, just more shadows
and the night falling over me, again.

awaiting motionless, undisturbed,
contemplating with cruel indifference.
The dreams and ambitions which left behind the shadows
of things to be, but never were.
